Edward Mulvihill approaches image-making as an open process, one where meaning and possibility emerge through experimentation rather than prescription. A Fine Art graduate of the National Art School, he has worked alongside some of the world’s leading photographers in New York and London, shaping a practice that moves fluidly between disciplines.
Now based in Melbourne, Mulvihill draws on art history, philosophy, and social theory to inform a visually driven language rooted in light, composition, and colour. His work resists fixed outcomes, instead embracing a sense of discovery, where the most compelling results are often found rather than planned.
Working across both fine art and fashion, he treats images as cultural objects, merging the two fields into a shared mode of expression. In collaboration with others, his practice creates space for experimentation and play, resulting in work that feels considered, exploratory, and quietly subversive.
